Travis Ranch School student Declan Riley traveled to Carnegie Hall in New York City on Thursday, June 2, to accept his gold medal for winning the National 2016 Scholastic Art & Writing Award. After the ceremony, the Empire State Building was lit in gold to recognize the winners.
