Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students at Golden Elementary School treated parents and the entire student body to a wonderful pre-summer concert last Friday, June 3. The young musicians showcased their growing musical skills as they performed numbers they have been practicing in their weekly classes. Vocal students belted out several tunes, including “Wavin’ Flag” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” The orchestra played “Quintessence” and “The Oasis” (among other songs), and the band entertained with “Swing Rock” and “Inception.” The production amazed parents and students alike. What a long way they’ve come since September’s squeaks and squeals! Thanks to Mr. Wilson, Mr. Mottershead and Mr. Arakawa for their tireless enthusiasm and hard work.
