The Valencia High School robotics team, the TiGears, was recognized at a Yorba Linda City Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 18, for their hard work and success at the Southern California Regional Robotics Forum (SCRRF).
Valencia hosted the FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC®), which is part of the SCRRF 2016 Fall Classic contest on Sept. 24 and Sept. 25. Teams from over 20 high schools competed in an exciting game with robots that are conceptualized, designed, produced, programmed and driven by students. The TiGears not only provided all support for the competition, but the VHS robotics team took first place in the competition!
This is a well-deserved recognition. Go TiGears!
