Darin Lenyi, a Valencia High School alumnus, was recently named the new chief for the Placentia Police Department. Darin, who grew up in Placentia, was a Police Explorer from 1982 to 1985. He replaces Chief Ward Smith, an El Dorado High School graduate, who retired in April.
