Bernardo Yorba students collect socks for Mary’s Kitchen

This fall, inspired by characters from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, students in Mrs. Hensel’s class at Bernardo Yorba Middle School decided to promote a sock drive for Mary’s Kitchen in Orange County. After two weeks, two large boxes of socks were collected from students at BYMS. They varied in sizes and types, which is exactly what was needed. When the boxes were dropped off on Saturday, the school was informed that there is also a great need for backpacks, both old and new. Looks like the Matadors have another project in their future! Thanks to all those who supported the sock drive.
