On Wednesday, Jan. 25, students from Brookhaven Elementary School met with their El Dorado High School “big buddies” from a Digital Media Arts Academy (DMAA) photography class. This inter-school exchange is part of an annual children’s storybook project, now in its 10th year. EDHS students photograph and illustrate stories written by Brookhaven kindergarten students. The kindergarten “little buddies” write using story components, such as setting, character, problem and solution. El Dorado photography students practice leadership skills, and earn work-based learning hours for their Academy.
