Esperanza High School students and staff are enjoying the new English Language Arts (ELA) adopted series, StudySync.  StudySync is an online textbook complete with readings, excerpts, interactive activities, and skill-based assessments.

Aztecs are prepping for their first argument essay and completing skill assignments on introductions and conclusions before writing their own. They read a definition, look at examples, annotate, and then answer skill-based quiz questions to see if they understood the concept. They are also utilizing WICOR strategies by taking notes on introductions and conclusions in their Interactive Notebook.  The Interactive Notebook is a Google Slides presentation where students input notes throughout the year and engage with them by completing output activities after the fact for meta-cognitive reflection.

Great job Aztec students and staff!
