Parkview School students have impressive showing at local speech and debate tournament

Parkview students!

On March 17, three Parkview middle school students attended the Bruschke Speech & Debate Invitational at California State University, Fullerton. The Panthers all had amazing showings at this event.

Kayla Kim was a finalist in both Dramatic Interpretation and Humorous Interpretation. Alyssa Varela took third place in Humorous Interpretation and took home first place in Duo Interpretation with her partner Gabriella Mercado. Gabriella Mercado was also a finalist in Impromptu Speaking, the largest middle school event at the tournament.

“Hats off to all of these amazing students! All three of them will be representing the Parkview Speech and Debate team at Nationals in Dallas later this year,” shared Principal James Hardin.
