Saturday, Nov. 14, was another busy day at Rio Vista Elementary School. The first Super Saturday School was held in which where 80 kindergarten through fourth grade students came to extend their learning. Thank you to Rio Vista’s mighty trio, Mrs. Archuleta, Mr. Gomez and Miss Raya, for providing an engaging learning environment for our students.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, Eastside Christian Church joined Rio Vista Elementary School’s efforts to create a College Readiness learning environment. The Rio Vista PTA generously purchased university banners and pennants to put on display. The volunteers arrived early Saturday morning, and began coordinating and mapping the banners and pennants. Each teacher also provided a surprise gift bag with goodies for their classroom. Thanks to Eastside for their continued support, and the impact they make on the lives of our students.
During this time, a maintenance crew was also hard at work on the building’s roof painting numbers for the district-wide disaster preparedness planning.
