On Friday, March 8, Valencia High School student Juan Landa was recognized by the Association of School Administrators (ACSA) for his academic and personal accomplishments throughout high school. Each year, this ACSA award is presented to students who have persevered regardless of their circumstances. Juan is the perfect recipient for this award because although he has physical limitations, he has never allowed this to be a hindrance or barrier.
As a top AVID student, Juan is planning to attend California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in the fall.
“Juan’s positivity and resilience are at the forefront of all he does. Juan continues to set goals for himself and there is not doubt that he will meet each and every one of them due to his work ethic,” noted Juan’s counselor, Liz Nasouf. “He lets nothing stop him and because of this he is an inspiration to all who know him.”
Juan was awarded with a special certificate and medallion, and he also received a Chromebook and a pair of Knott’s Berry Farm Tickets. Way to go, Juan!
