Esperanza High School’s 2019 Homecoming was a great success. Students took part in a pep rally, football game, halftime time show, and ultimately, a dance in the school’s gym. The theme was “A Night of Mystery” and the homecoming crowns were stolen.
Throughout the entire week, students were trying to “find” the King and Queen. The King, student Alex Ramirez, was found at the Homecoming Rally and the Queen, student Katharina Abramovich, was found at the football halftime show. Aztec football also had a huge victory over El Modena High School to add to the homecoming excitement.
The week ended with the school’s dance in which 650 (42% of the student population) students danced, played games, took pictures, and enjoyed treats.
“Students has a blast!” Activities Director Meghann Lukach said.
