This year the Esperanza High School Medical Sciences Academy and Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) WE project is “WE Scare Hunger.” To kick off their project efforts, the students began creating a garden on campus to grow food that can be given to those that are hungry. So far, the Aztecs have been able to clear out weeds, leaves, and even a tree. Be on the look out in the near future to see just how much the Aztecs have planned for this community project! Keep up the great work, EHS.
The program, known as “WE Schools,” is a year-long service-learning project that nurtures compassion in students and gives them the tools to create transformative social change.
