El Dorado High School’s Golden Hawk Marching Band competed at the Valencia Classic Field Tournament at Bradford Stadium on Saturday, October 16. This was their first field show performance since 2019. The El Dorado Percussion Section and Color Guard earned 1st place in their respective captions and overall the Golden Hawk Band won the Tournament Sweepstakes Championship by earning the highest score of the day!
“It was very exciting to be back at our first field tournament since our last performance in 2021,” shared Eric Samson, Director of Instrumental Music. “Although earning the top score was great, we were just happy to be performing in our district stadium for our friends, family, and alumni. Congratulations to all of the bands that participated that day despite what we all went through during the pandemic.”
