Fairmont Elementary School students are rewarded on campus for following PRIDE behavior expectations with PRIDE cards. The expectations follow the PBIS guidelines in which students are acknowledged for their positive behavior. Pride stands for Prepared, Respectful, Inclusive, Diligent & Engaged. Fairmont has developed school-wide procedures to define, teach and acknowledge great behavior. Pride cards are used by staff members to recognize students for engaging in positive behavior throughout all school settings.
This month the school opened their “Falcon Fun Zone.” Eager students entered the fun zone to exchange PRIDE cards for special privileges, activities, or rewards. The rewards vary depending on the number of pride cards students have earned. Some of the exciting prizes include a walk to ice cream, shaved iced, or a Slurpee with the principal, board games, treasure chest items, or lunch with a teacher.
The school loves watching their Fairmont Falcons work hard to show their pride and earn rewards for their excellence! Way to go Falcons!
