In order to study measures of central tendency, Algebra 1B students at Esperanza High School created their own data by flying paper airplanes that they created. Students designed their own airplanes and then went outside to fly them, collecting the data from their air time and distance. The students then calculated the mean, median, and mode for their data and the class as a whole.
