On Friday, November 17, Kraemer Middle School hosted 27 engaging career presenters at its annual Career Day Event. This event was the culmination of the school’s College and Career Week. As an AVID National Demonstration School, Kraemer coordinates events like this to promote a vibrant college and career-ready culture for students.
Students chose three career sessions to attend and learn more about relevant career paths from community members and parents. The day’s success was driven by these volunteers who committed their time to inspire students to think about their futures. That week, staff and students also participated in a college door decorating contest. During homeroom classes, students had the opportunity to research their career interests.
Presenters were invited to share their educational backgrounds and careers from a wide variety of industry sectors. Professionals included an Attorney, Automotive Marketer, Business Consultant, Industrial Relations, Civil Engineer, Computer Scientist, Aerospace Engineer, Financial Planner, Live Event Company Manager, HOPE University Representative, Interior Designer, Makeup Artist, Oncologist Scientist, Patent Agent, Personal Trainer, Photographer, Physician’s Assistant, Pilot, Police Officer, Game Designer, Radiologist, Registered Nurse, School Administrator, & Tattoo Artist.
“Together, our staff and volunteers collaboratively actualized our shared mission: putting students first with a focus on innovation and inclusion,” shared Principal Michael Young.
