Kraemer Middle School Art Student Winner of OC Fair Diversity Art Contest

Kraemer Middle School proudly celebrates Seylah Bae, an eighth-grade student whose artistic talent propelled her to win first place in the OC Fair Diversity Art Contest. Seylah’s digital drawing captivated judges earning her the prestigious recognition and a well-deserved prize of $500. Her artwork, rich with themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion, will be displayed during the OC Fair this year and be seen by more than 1 million visitors. 

The inaugural Plaza Pacifica Youth Diversity Art Competition called for students ages 13 to 17 to submit artwork showcasing the diversity in Orange County. Judges for the contest had the tough task of picking the top three entries from a couple of dozen student submissions. 

Seylah Bae is in the advanced art class at Kraemer Middle School. Her teacher Tayler Perez stated that, “She is extremely talented and a hard worker.” Perez also hopes to Seylah will continue to be an artist for the rest of her life.
