Ian Volker is a 2024 Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Classified Employee of the Year! Ian serves as an instructional aide at the district’s adult transition school, Venture Academy, in Placentia. This video recaps the day PYLUSD executive leadership members and his colleagues surprised him with the news.
“Ian is amazing! He can design and make handles for a reclining wheelchair, design racks to hold wheelchair trays, and make adapted toys for transitional kindergarten,” noted Principal Rebecca Allan. “He can be counted on to help in any situation with any need on the Venture or George Key campus. We are so fortunate to work with him. Thank you, Ian.”
