AVID students from El Dorado visit UC Riverside

On Wednesday, May 18, AVID students from El Dorado High School toured the University of California, Riverside (UCR). The college has a beautiful, newly renovated campus, and students were able to hear about their amazing programs. For instance, did you know that UCR has a brand new medical school? They also have an undergraduate program that has approximately 125 students preparing for medical school. This program reserves 25 of only 50 seats each year for their incoming medical school class for those in that program. Furthermore, if UCR medical school graduates stay in the Inland Empire and practice medicine for five years, they will cancel all medical school loans.
