Fifth grade students at Tynes Elementary School have culminated their social studies lesson with Google slide presentations and state floats. After their presentations, Mrs. Larson’s kindergarten students and Mrs. Kim’s second grade students were given a tour of the 50 states by the fifth graders. The fifth grade class used academic language to provide information about each state to their kindergarten and second grade little buddies. Fifth grade student Rebecca Castro commented, “I felt like I was the teacher after all the tours.”
