On Tuesday, Oct. 18, Rio Vista Elementary School began its 100 Mile Club journey. Students, teachers and staff will be walking/running every Tuesday and Thursday during their lunch to reach 100 miles by the end of the year. The goals of the 100 Mile Club are to practice setting personal goals, create team and school spirit, build confidence, and to self-evaluate. The students will be rewarded as they reach certain milestones along their journey. At 25 miles, they will receive a T-shirt that is designed to show off their accomplishments throughout the year. At 100 miles, they will receive a gold medal, as well as a special certificate celebrating their accomplishment.
This is a Win Win Rio! Great job!
