This week at Yorba Linda High School, Mr. Dan Eliot and his students hosted an “Hour of Code” event to expose students to computer science programming. He had over 80 students participate over the course of three days. The “teachers” were students from Mr. Eliot’s mobile app development and AP computer science classes. Participants created recursive tree drawings, as seen in the panorama below. Several students signed up to take this class after participating last year. Mr. Eliot has hosted this after school event for the past three years.
