On Friday, March 3, Morse Elementary School launched their second Team Kids Challenge assembly. The Team Kids program is a five-week research-based and empirically validated approach to youth development. The Team Kids Challenge empowers students as they learn about critical community issues, working alongside police officers, firefighters, parent volunteers and Team Kids mentors. Morse Team Kids will organize three challenges: thank you letters to the military, an art supply donation to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and a canned food drive for H.I.S. House in Placentia. The fun culminates at the end of the five weeks with a student-created and led carnival held at lunchtime. Morse students are excited to launch their second Team Kids Challenge program!
