Valencia High School hosts and competes in FBLA Leadership Conference


Valencia High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) continues to dominate in the Economics portion of competition. The Southern Section Leadership Conference took place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Valencia.

Student Chris Leung finished first, while Nick Han took third and Sannuth Rao was sixth. Each student has earned a ticket to the State competition.

Overall, the Tigers finished in fourth place in Sweepstakes — an improvement from sixth last year!

Students placing in the top 6 are eligible for State. The starred events are the exceptions.

Lauren Yu (9) – 5th in Public Speaking*

Sannuth Rao- 6th in Economics and 7th in Personal Finance
Lauren Kim- 6th in Intro to Business Communications

Aryam Banaji, Rohan Patel (12), and Varun Srivastava- 7th in Sports and Entertainment Mgmt

Phil De Vera – 8th in Business Communication and Insurance & Risk Management

Morgan Gee- 9th in Business Communications

Neha Abbas- 6th in Creed* and 10th in Business Law

In addition, Anthony (Sung Jae) Woo placed first in Agribusiness. Anthony Zhang finished 5th in Business Calculations. Next, Frank Kim placed 6th in Business Law, and the team of Sam Littrell, Frank Kim, and David Lee qualified in the Entrepreneurship event with their 4th place finish. Please congratulate Audrey Lin, Riya Patwa and Michelle Bracken for their top 5 finish in the team event Global Business. Finally, the Marketing team comprised of Zain Raja, Khushi Patel, and Saleem Haider placed 4th.
