It was another exciting week at Fairmont Elementary School.
For the first time in many years, staff members dressed up as famous literary characters on Friday, Oct. 30. They did this as a “Fun”draiser for the school library. Collectively, they raised a little over $1,500 for the library.
At lunch throughout the week, the student council hosted an event in which students could write a thank you note to our military veterans for their service and dedication. We sent the notes to Kraemer Middle School, who will be mailing packages to our servicemen and women.
Our annual Jog-A-Thon was very successful this year, raising $5,000 over our goal! Students participated and ran on Friday, Oct. 23. We are proud of our students, and thankful for all the generous donations as well as our parent volunteers!
During Red Ribbon Week, students signed a banner to pledge to be drug free for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
