Kindergarten and first grade students at Woodsboro Elementary School had a hands-on science lesson, instructed by teacher Miss Janeen Hill. Students designed and built bridges to learn about engineering standards. The goal was to build a strong bridge, and then test the bridge’s structure by adding progressively heavier items. The students then wrote and presented their bridge-building strategies and processes to their peers. They were so excited when Principal Shirley Fargo walked in to observe their creations.
