El Dorado High School Students Earn State and National Recognition in PTA Reflections Program

El Dorado High School is celebrating the achievements of three students whose entries in the 2025–26 PTA Reflections Art Program advanced to the California state level of competition. Their success began in October 2025 when they were selected to represent El Dorado High School at the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified Council (PYLUC) PTA Reflections competition. After earning first-place Awards of Excellence at both the PYLUC and Fourth District PTA levels, their artistic interpretations of the theme, “I Belong!”, advanced to state competition.

Junior Jocelyn Woghlgezogen, a first-time Reflections participant, represented the Fourth District in the Literature category with her original work, Spaetzle. Sophomore Seylah Bae earned a California Award of Merit in the Visual Arts category for her piece, Stitched in Heritage. Her artwork was selected for display in the California State PTA Reflections Gallery during the California State PTA Convention held May 1–3.

Senior Fernando Nunez received the California Outstanding Interpretation Award, the highest state honor, for his Accessible Arts Film Production entry, My Life in Puzzle Pieces. During the awards ceremony at the California State PTA Convention on May 2, Fernando was also announced as the recipient of the National Outstanding Interpretation Award, the highest recognition awarded at the national level of the Reflections program.

These accomplishments highlight the creativity, talent, and dedication of El Dorado High School’s student artists and serve as an inspiring example of artistic excellence at both the state and national levels.
