Mrs. Korsvall’s 1/2 combination class at Morse Elementary School received a special treat to celebrate Veterans Day. Retired Morse teacher Norah Bartels came to share her son Lance Cpl. Alec Bartels’ experience in the U.S. Marine Corps whose service will be ending in the spring. Students enjoyed listening to the story Goodnight Marines, reading their “Scholastic News” that highlighted thanking a veteran and hearing about what it’s like to be a Marine. Mrs. Bartels shared photos and military tags, and helped the students write thank you letters for serving our country!
